The Rules of Engagement: A Woman’s Influence

An interesting topic that came up this morning in my Overcome & Grow fb group.

Ladies what you present to your man in the beginning you need to be able to maintain. If you are showing a man in the beginning someone other than who you are, chances are you will have problems in the future. Why? Because you falsified yourself and perpetrated a fraud.

The thought “I’ve got him now so I don’t have to continue doing those things or being sexy” is a total mess and misconception. That’s the wrong thought to have. Men are organically stimulated by visual stimuli. What he is drawn to visually is what he is attracted to and falls in love with. Sorry, but it’s the truth. Don’t underestimate him though. He understands your body will change over time, and your looks will change as you get older but what should remain the same is your outward appearance. How you maintain yourself. How you present yourself. How you are willing to be extra for him. How you enjoy being proactive about your health, etc. Sometimes it’s ok to let him be involved in your choice of dress. For the mature ladies, you’ll understand what I mean by that statement.

📌A season, a reason or a lifetime 🤔

People come into our life for a season, a reason or a lifetime. The problem is we haven’t mastered the level of discernment to know the difference.

Master clear vision and people management.
Wear people like a loose garment.
Learn how to let people near but not close. Everyone doesn’t have to be close to be an asset.
Don’t misinterpret people’s purpose in your life.

Be careful giving seasonal people lifetime responsibilities. Be careful giving seasonal people lifetime privileges.

Ask yourself what is the purpose of this person in your life.

And when people say “you have a wall up” you say No, I’m just mastering my people management skills.

Do you know that FEAR is “false evidence appearing real” or false evidence of hearing “real”?

We are what we hear we are. A person can speak life or death over us. Someone can kill a dream, shoot down an aspiration, destroy your confidence, and knock you down or tear you to pieces inside by the things they say. If you listen to it long enough you’ll unconsciously start training your mind to believe it’s true. It’s important to know yourself and the people you associate yourself with.

Questions to ask yourself:

What are you most fearful of?

Why, what, or who has placed this fear inside of you?

Do you believe you can overcome this fear and achieve what it is you are fearful of?

What are the things that make you fearful?

Remember there is hope. Hope is the expectation and desire for something. It is trusting the process. What it is not is fear and letting that fear hold you back from any progress toward achieving what it is you want to do.

I encourage you to take action!

Choose to be Bold. Being bold means being brave. Being brave means to be confident and courageous.

Set aside some time today to do a little self-reflection. Self-reflection allows one to see problem areas, set goals, overcome them, and grow.

To start this process, below are a few steps to help you move forward.

-Manage the moment.

-Get real about what you are up against.

-Equip yourself with a few tools to manage the moment and lead the way through the conversations that matter the most.

-Pray and ask God for His wisdom and not that of your own.

-Understand the task at hand.

-Set goals and boundaries and commit to seeing them through.

-Keep a record of your progress and that which causes you to stumble (ex. Fear).

It’s important to remember we all experience fear at different levels. No one person is exempt and shouldn’t expect to be. Fear is the small voice from the inner you caged inside your mind telling you, you aren’t deserving, worthy, qualified, strong enough, or equipped to do what it is you are trying to do. Fear is all in your mind. Don’t listen to it. Instead, unlock the gate and set the negative part of yourself free. Keep your eyes forward, push through, and rise above it. There’s a uniqueness waiting for you on the other side of all the fear that’s been holding you back. Discover who you really are.

It’s been over 25 years since I took communion. Not because I didn’t want to or didn’t know my scripture but because as an active Jehovah Witness goer I was told only the people who have a heavenly hope is supposed to partake. Well I know that’s not true. Jesus told his followers to do this in remembrance of me. To me that means if you are following Christ and you have accepted Him as your Lord and personal savior and you strive to be like Him that applies to you. So guess what I did? I partook of the emblem.

Update: since posting this a dear friend, so I thought, which is a Jehovah’s Witness just unfriended me. Thank you Jesus. My fasting and praying is in full effect and I see you working.

God will remove those that do not belong in your life. God will also reveal what He needs you to know in His own timing. Rest assured all things are being made new. Don’t focus on the time that has passed not knowing be thankful for the moment when it begins.

Grand Rising & Top of the morning! As my mother used to tell me on Sunday mornings as a teenager when I wanted to sleep in and not want to go to Church, “you can do everything you want to do every other day but on Sunday you can’t get up and go to Church and give God His time.” It was how she said it that snapped me into gear because I knew she was right.

Some people prefer not to go to the house of the Lord because of misleading preachers, the people in it and the false teachings. I get it. However, I would encourage you to pick up your bible and read it or find an app that will read it to you. Start a prayer group and if you don’t want to start one inbox me and I’ll tell you how to join mine.

I’m dedicated. That’s why I drive an hour and 45 mins to mine. Search until you find your home. Have a prosperous and productive day everyone. 💋
