Hey everyone! 👋🏽

I’ve turned over a new leaf 🍁 in 2024! I’m excited to announce I will be completing a professional small groups training this month! 👏🏾 I’m super excited to be walking in my God-given passion for helping people be the best they can be and with that I’m inviting you to the party! 🎉 My private self-awareness group is called “Overcome & Grow”. A journey to self-discovery and growth. I invite you to share your story and experiences that have led you to this moment.

Happy New Year to each of you. There will be open doors all #2024. Proclaim the goodness of God and watch Him work in your life. Prepare to give the first fruits to Him and everything else will be multiplied in His name sake. Overcome and walk through all adversaries. Leave all of the hurt and pain of #2023 in #2023. Prepare yourself and your household to reap the harvest of God’s goodness.

There is a difference. Anything damaged can be repaired over time, with the right amount of nurturing, exemplifying compassion, addressing the situation with an open mind and willingness to alter a few things.

Being broken is extensive damage. It is more difficult to mend back to its original form. The damage is sometimes beyond repair. It’s forever changed. It doesn’t operate the same.

Apply this concept to your relationship by becoming aware if the issues you face are indeed damaged or broken. Anything damaged can be repaired. Anything broken comes with levels of difficultness and possibility it will take more than required and worth to function properly.

Don’t give up so easily because you are hurt because you’ve been offended but don’t continue in a situation if you feel broken either.

There’s no denying the holidays are the most magical times of the year!There’s love in the air, Christmas songs and singing are heard near and far, the smell of warm apple, sweet potato and pumpkin pie in the air, lights are hung and laughter from as far as the ear can hear.

However, in the midst of all this, relationships are tried and tested. With emotions running high, minds on overload and the struggle to balance work and family things can go haywire real quick.

When you see yellow flags do not ignore them. They are triggers. Triggers that let you know what your boundaries are. If you believe you are deserving of a certain type of behavior KNOW you are worthy of it as well!

Stop allowing people to walk over top of you and disrespect your intelligence. What you feel and think matters!

For years I didn’t understand the concept. I knew when something bothered me but chose to ignore the things that screamed RUN! As time went on, still stuck in the situation, I began to be resentful. I began to loose myself. I began to notice more things which only made the situation worse for me. Before I realized it I was in to deep and I hardly recognizable. When I acknowledged I was at a bottomless pit I snapped out of it.

My advice to you is to not let the mindsets of others, their lifestyle choices and actions manipulate you into thinking what you know to be true is just a figment of your imagination. Because it is NOT. The fact you are uncomfortable is motive enough to make you MOVE. If you feel something isn’t right chances are they aren’t.

When you love someone you talk through things. You talk, you listen, you’re patient, you’re understanding, considerate and most of all respectful. There’s so much you can and should be when opportunities come which requires you to communicate you are present.

Obstacles will emerge, they are significant and sometimes warrant a hard conversation. Simply because individuals do things differently when they are single and their perception of it is valid during that time.

However, what many fail to realize is when you step out of your singleness and into a relationship what you think is ok in your singleness is not when you’re involved with another.

You simply can not continue doing the same things. Your actions, response and willingness to walk across a slippery floor to the other side is key components to leaving one part of your life and entering another.

Be prepared for what it takes and know what it means to date and be dated. Your transition is key because people are paying attention. Functioning in relationships require you to respect the other persons boundaries, change your interaction with others and have a level of openness you did not have.

Stop being silent about the things you need to be loud about

What’s life without mistakes?? They are learning tools to give you wisdom so you know not to repeat the patterns and travel the roads you once did. These nuggets are golden when sharing with others when helping them.

I’ve learned a lot this past year. I’ve learned to be honest in all things because it sets you free. I’ve learned to distance myself from people I know cause me to step outside of my character. I’ve learned to stay minding my business and not the business of others. I’ve learned to own my mistakes and right them on all accounts. I’ve also learned to pray incisively to obtain the answers I need.

I’ve learned a lot about Kisha too. I’ve learned the love I have for myself will be felt by me and seen by others. I’ve learned my opinion of myself is the only opinion that matters. I’ve learned what I want and need is my responsibility alone and not of someone else. Self-awareness is a feeling indescribable.

I encourage you to embrace your mistakes, own up to them and change your direction. Also embrace and love who you are no matter what others think of you

Do you ever wonder who your true friends are?

Are you aware of how many true friends you have?

True friends are a dime a dozen. If you have many people claiming to be your friend, I’d be on the side of caution. Your definition of friend likely will be different.

Friends are people who have been with you for years, been with you through your highs and your lows, no matter what you’ve done they didn’t leave your side. These friends don’t judge you but love you through your mess even when you come with stress. These friends have been right by your side and haven’t caused you to question their loyalty.

There’s a lot they do to add to your life like…..

Help take your mind off the hard stuff

Talk you through your confusion

Be silent and listen with the intent to understand

Offer feedback and advice when asked

What they are not is a sometime friend. They aren’t only around when things are good and disappear when things are bad.

Consider yourself blessed if you have an average of 5.

Those 5 are the committed, the real-straightforward, the God-fearing, the impartial, and the inspiration.

1. The friend who will be there no matter what. The person you can call on any time of night, talk to any time of day. The forever available.

2. The friend who will keep it real. This person doesn’t care if you get upset and all in your feelings. They love you enough to tell you about yourself and tell you when you’re wrong. No beating around the bush.

3. The spiritual friend that will make you see the importance of putting God first in all you do. This person will remind you of the goodness of God and what He has done and still doing for you.

4. The friend that’s going to have your back regardless of the situation. This person, no matter how many times you mess up will not judge you because of your mistakes, failures, or imperfections. They are your ride or die. They will pick you up and brush you off when you fall.

5. The friend that will motivate, encourage, uplift, and inspire you to want to be a better you. This person is grounded, stable and a constant figure you look up to and respect.

Shout out to all the fly women who don’t need to dress half naked to get a man’s attention.

Truth be told a man wants a classy lady….

A lady that respects herself and values her outward appearance.

A lady that knows her body is her temple and will not defile it to prove she has what he wants.

A lady that will not bring shame upon herself or him.

A lady with character, grace and poise.

Your apology needs to be as loud as your disrespect was

APOLOGY 1-ON-1

Sometimes its not enough to say “I’m sorry”. Half the time people don’t mean it. They say it because it’s what you NEED to hear or what they FEEL they need to say to get you to snap back in place to forgive them so they can get on with their agenda.

You will know when you receive a sincere apology. A simple “I apologize” is NOT a sincere apology. I was once told saying “I’m sorry” makes that person feel like a sorry person, like they are admitting to fault which makes them look like a bad person. I also heard someone say “I apologize” isn’t saying I’m sorry for hurting you but simply acknowledging I’m aware what I said offended you because you’re saying something to me about it.

If a person does not come to you on their own free will to say they are sorry and mean it you do not have to accept it. Matter fact if someone wrongs you it would be wise to understand they are not capable of doing right by you and not willing to take accountability for their actions (right now).

Recognize & truly understand you don’t NEED an apology from others if you are secure within yourself.

It’s very important you know the difference of a sincere apology vs one that’s not, especially if you’re seeking an apology from someone. Listen to what people say and don’t be quick to accept something because you want to hear it.

Not all people will operate as you do. Not all people see issues with what they do. If the apology doesn’t calm the storm in your spirit, there’s a reason.
